The rumors had been correct…Fujifilm announced its new compact digital camera. The X10 capabilities a 2/3″ 12 megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor and a substantial-definition F2. wide-angle and F2.8 telephoto Fujinon 4x manual zoom lens (28-112mm)*1, and it follows the footsteps of the Fujifilm FinePix X100 released a few months ago.
As I sort of predicted (properly, more like wishful considering) a couple of days ago, I am much more convinced now that Leica will come up with a Micro 4 Thirds camera, and will announce it for the duration of Photokina 2011 in September. This form of compact sized cameras (regardless of whether Micro Four Thirds or otherwise) are the future…maybe not for experts (except if they are utilised for back-up or for certain gigs), but certainly for the rest of the photography buyers.
The new FujiFilm x10 is gorgeous…but we don’t get our tools for looks…do we?
